This policy describes how data is handled when you use the Shooting Skills Diagnostic Inventory (SSDI), including the website at shotdiagnostic.com and any associated companion apps.
When you complete the SSDI on the web, the following data is stored on the server: your assessment responses, any free-text input you provide for coaching profile generation, a session identifier, and the date and time of your session.
The SSDI does not ask for your name, email address, or account credentials. However, if you include identifying details in a free-text response, that information will be stored as part of your session data. Do not enter personal information such as your name, location, or contact details in free-text fields.
Each time you complete the assessment, a separate session is stored. If you complete the assessment more than once, all sessions are retained independently.
Your results page is accessible via a unique link generated at completion. The SSDI does not restrict access to that link. Anyone who has or receives the link can view your results. Do not share the link if you want to keep your results private.
Assessment data may be presented in aggregate form on the site, such as summary statistics about response patterns across sessions. Aggregate data does not identify individual users. No individual session data is publicly displayed.
The precision target builder at shotdiagnostic.com/targets does not collect or store any data. Your selected parameters are used to generate a PDF on the server, which is delivered to your browser. No record of your selections or downloads is retained.
The SSDI Companion app stores session logs, assessment results, notes, and settings locally on your device. This data is not synced to the cloud, and the app does not require an account.
When the app generates coaching content, your assessment data and session history are sent to the SSDI server, which forwards them to the Anthropic API (Claude) for processing. This means the server and infrastructure terms and the third-party processing terms described in this policy apply equally to data sent from the app.
Completing an assessment takes place through the web-based SSDI at shotdiagnostic.com. The data handling described in the rest of this policy applies to that web-based assessment.
If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently deleted with it. App-generated coaching requests are processed through the SSDI server and may be subject to the server and infrastructure data terms described in this policy.
The SSDI is hosted on Replit's infrastructure, which is based in the United States. Like most web platforms, server-level data such as IP addresses, browser information, and access logs may be captured automatically by the hosting environment. This is outside the SSDI's direct control.
Your scored responses and free-text input are sent to the Anthropic API (Claude) to generate your coaching profile. This applies to coaching profiles generated on the web and to coaching content generated through the Companion app, both of which are routed through the SSDI server. When coaching content is generated from the Companion app, session history and practice data may also be included.
Anthropic is based in the United States. Your data is processed by a third-party AI service in a foreign jurisdiction. How Anthropic handles data received through its API is governed by Anthropic's own terms and policies, not by this policy.
Your web assessment data resides on Replit's infrastructure in the United States. How Replit handles data on its platform is governed by Replit's own terms and policies, not by this policy.
When data is transferred to or processed in a foreign jurisdiction, it may be accessible to the courts, law enforcement, or national security authorities of that jurisdiction under applicable laws.
The SSDI is operated from Ontario, Canada. Assessment data and coaching requests are processed through servers and services located in the United States. By using the SSDI, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, and that it will be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.
The SSDI uses contractual and practical measures to ensure that third-party processors handle your data in a manner consistent with this policy, but cannot guarantee that foreign jurisdictions provide the same level of privacy protection as Canada.
The SSDI does not share your individual assessment responses with other users. The SSDI does not require an account or login. The SSDI does not use your data for advertising.
In the event that the SSDI or its assets are transferred, sold, or acquired, stored web assessment data may be included as part of that transfer. Data stored locally in the Companion app at rest on your device is not included in such a transfer.
Assessment data collected through the web may be analyzed in aggregate to evaluate and improve the instrument. This means examining patterns across responses to assess item quality and scoring accuracy.
Data stored locally in the Companion app is not accessible to the SSDI at rest. However, when you generate coaching content, session history and assessment data from the app are sent to the SSDI server for processing. This data may be subject to the server and infrastructure terms described in this policy.
Assessment data collected through the web is retained indefinitely for the purpose of instrument improvement. Because the SSDI does not intentionally collect identifying information, it may not be possible to locate or delete a specific individual's responses. If you believe your session data contains identifying information and you want it removed, contact us using the information below and we will make reasonable efforts to locate and delete it.
Data stored in the Companion app is retained on your device until you delete it within the app or delete the app itself. Data sent to the SSDI server during coaching content generation may be subject to the server and infrastructure data terms described in this policy.
The SSDI is intended for use by adults.
This policy may be updated at any time. Changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
