Find Your Clay Shooting Skill Gaps

The SSDI clay shooting module covers 18 items across five skill domains. It measures gun mount and swing mechanics, lead estimation, visual focus, pre-shot routine, and session endurance. Sub-discipline coverage includes trap, skeet, and sporting clays benchmarks; the remaining items apply across all clay formats.

Why this instead of a generic shotgun-skill rating

A generic shotgun rating folds gun mount, lead estimation, visual focus, and routine into one number. The clay module scores each as its own domain so a shooter who reads lead well but loses focus late in a station, or who has a clean mount but inconsistent target acquisition on crossers, sees each gap on its own row rather than as a single "I miss some clays" reading. Pre-shot routine and session endurance are asked as their own items because long-day fatigue and routine collapse are common ceiling causes that rarely make a personal training plan.
